Baripada: Scarcity of doctors, vacant supporting personnel positions, and lack of infrastructure have affected healthcare services in Pandit Raghunath Murmu (PRM) Medical College and Hospital in Baripada town of Mayurbhanj district, district unit of Odisha Medical Employees Association has alleged.
In a recent meeting, the association demanded the achievement of 500 vacant seats of sophistication-IV employees and forty-six seats of attendants.
These aside, they demanded vacant posts of doctors, pharmacists, nurses, radiographers, ladies, and male well-being employees be crammed at the earliest.
Further, the affiliation contributors demanded regularisation of sophistication-IV personnel working at the institute for more than six years. Vice president of the affiliation Shyam Sunder Deo stated that those workers’ performance gets affected because they no longer have a duty room.
Highlighting that those problems are nothing new and had earlier been mentioned with the CDMO in an assembly held on July 23, the association warned that they might keep demonstrations in front of the CDMO office if their demands aren’t met.
